Mirror Highway lakes

Leader is Ron Barnett

Closer to the event, we will decide which lake(s) to fish.

Target Species: Rainbow, brook, and tiger trout

Drive time:  Depending on the lake, 1.75 hrs., 70 miles.

Level of fishing difficulty: Easy to Moderate.  Hungry fish, often on dry flies.  Usually, this time of the summer dry flies will work including beetles, ants, renegades maybe hoppers but could be a little early for them.  Also, a dry fly attractor with a dropper may also work.  I will give a better breakdown about a week before the trip.

Access:  Via the paved Mirror Lake Highway with dirt parking lots.  Four by four or high clearance vehicles not required.

Weather:  Cool mornings with warm comfortable days.  Bring rain gear.  The Unitas are known for afternoon rainstorms, but they are usually short in duration.

Terrian: Bank fishing favorable, chest or hip waders and kick boats provide additional access at all three lakes.

Wading difficulty: Easy, waders not required but helpful.
