Some folks arrived Thursday and went fishing at Lower Bowns. It was excellent from both shore and from pontoon boats. Fish were large, feisty, and plentiful. Fish count was in the 40s. Both Tiger trout and some pretty large rainbows were landed.

On Friday the group split with some headed to Kings Pasture and fished the feeder creek above the lake. It was full of brook trout who were quite happy to hit small dry flies or perdigons. The rest hit Lower Bowns. Fish breaking (well actually leaping) out of the water all day, close to shore, right at the edge of the weed bed. Mayfly and terrestrial patterns were killing it.

As usual the power plant impound produced fish in the evenings.

Saturday we all hit Posey lake using water craft. The damsel fly hatch was on and the fish were quite active. Believe most were rainbows. The weed bed was daunting and continues to be a struggle when launching and landing watercraft. If you didn't keep the fish's head up, they were headed down to break you off.

Sunday those of us left went to Lower Bowns and had another good day catching rainbows and tiger trout. The wind even sort of cooperated and didn't pick up till around 3:00pm. While prepping to launch the kick boats, several fish were just trolling the shallows right in front of us. Robert quickly threw together a rod with a small black beetle .... third cast it was game on. It turned out to be his personal best Tiger which fought hard for more than 5 min. By all accounts everyone caught fish. Some double digits.

And we ate really well. Breakfast every day. Fred made Abelskivers (look that up, they are yummy), bacon and eggs and.... with all the extras hauled up for the week, this is a foodie trip for sure. Lots of lunch stuff to keep up the casting energy.

The Boulder trip is always a club yearly highlight. Huge thanks from all, Fred, for hosting.
