Welcome to

Bonneville Fly Fishers

Yellowstone  October 22-27, 2025

We had a wonderful trip to Yellowstone Park this fall.  Ten persons stayed in our rented cabin, with Ron and Laura Barnet joining us for meals from their hotel in West Yellowstone.  Rafael was also able to join us when his family choose to visit the park without him.  The weather was unusually fantastic, with highs in the low 60's until Sunday, when the weather became more seasonable with light rain and snow both Sunday and Monday when we left.  Everyone caught fish, including quite a number of the larger 'runner' browns, rainbows and whitefish coming up from Hebgen Lake.  A few brave souls also ventured to the northeast side of the Park where they encountered a number of nice Yellowstone cutthroat (Jim, Ron and Laura) from Slough Creek. We shared a lot of stories, special fishing locations, and comradery in the evenings over group dinners and hors d'oeuvres of chips, cheeses and etc.  Thanks to the sharing of meal prep and cleanup among all the attendees, everyone was able to make the most of their time fishing and enjoying everything this beautiful location has to offer.
