We will be The Bear River below the Oneida Narrows dam. This is a beautifully scenic spot with a chance to catch a bass or bath in a local hot spring. Those willing to camp riverside could make this an overnight trip.
Target Species: Rainbow and brown trout, smallmouth bass, walleye.
Drive time: 2.5 hrs.
Level of fishing difficulty: Moderate
Access: Dirt road for drive along river and to the dam and beyond.

There also amenities in Preston which is 17 miles away from the dam and on the way from SLC.
Weather: 4,850'. Typical warm fall weather.
Terrian: Normal public access with local boat ramps and moderate to steep banks.
Wading difficulty: Moderate. Wading stick very helpful. South banks can be steep, north bank more gentle with easier access. Note that the dam flows can change rapidly, hopefully following a horn from the dam.
