There’s a reason that this annual overnight trip is one of BFF’s most popular: good fishing, good food with great get -togethers and conversation, and the unmatched beauty of the south-facing Uinta range and it’s 3-sectioned gem, the Duchesne River.
This year was no different. Pappy hosted a terrific pancake breakfast, while Kermit and Taunya threw a splendid hamburger potluck. With only a few brief incursions of Monsoon through the weekend, the North Fork provided great dry-fly fishing for cutties and brookies, while some monster brownies, fooled by nymphs and streamers, were hoisted out of the main river.
The West branch proved to be difficult this year.
Thanks to hosts and participants for a great event.
